With flowers blooming and butterflies fluttering,
Spring has finally arrived. Are you ready?
by Crystal Angel Fashion Editor With the arrival of Spring comes the need
to change out your winter warms for soft
light fabrics and fresh designs. Your Crystal
Angel Fashion Divas (AngelEyezs, Mela and
Tory) hit the Moove Malls and Spring Runway
Shows and found the finest designs from the
most Talented Moove Designers for this edition.
As always it was tough to choose individual
outifts as the designers were pumping out
new styles in the latest fabrics faster than
we could buy them. With a brand new Gulf Stream Jet (Angel One)
and an unlimited budget, we took to the skies
for our whirlwind fashion show tour, and
a bit of girl fun. We decided to hit Lita's Boutique "Spring Fling" Show first, as
she is currently one of the most prolific
designers in Moove and, as we mentioned last month, offers
personalized service that is second to none. After a quick flight from Mount Torrence
Regional Airpark to Springfield, Ohio in
Angel One, we found our way to The Clark
State Community College Performing Arts Center
where Lita was hurriedly giving last minute
orders and adding final touches to her new
Spring lines.
We were grateful that Lita had reserved us
seats up front in the Poser Pit as it was
a Standing Room Only crowd. With champagne
in fluted crystal, and some yummy bacon wrapped
prawns, Angel, Mela and I settled in to see
what Lita had created for this Spring season. With music from The Bangles and a light
show worthy of the Blue Man Group, Lita began
the
show by displaying her line of Teddy's in
pastels and bright colors. The models prancing
down the runway in Lita's Teddys were simply
yummy, and each design was greeted with a
roaring applause from the packed auditorium.

The Teddy Collection
The Christine Collection
We really liked her Bow lingerie in soft
pastel colors and her line of silk corsets,
which are purrrfect for mixing and matching.
Lingerie, which is being worn more and more
as outerwear and as a base fashion statement,
is hot for Spring this year, and Lita's designs
welcome the new trend. Lita followed the Lingerie portion of the
three hour extravaganza with her line of
Christines, a wonderful assortment of Western Saloon Girl inspired corsets in a variety
of soft and elegant colors. As always, Lita's
Christine line is simply purrrfect for mixing
and matching and looks great with both skirts
and slacks. It seems the new hot body part
to show this Spring are shoulders, and we
could not be happier.
With a fresh flute of Champagne and some
more yummy Prawns, we relaxed and watched
the worlds top models show off Lita's Butterfly Tops. As the scantily clad beauties showcased
these elegant (and tiny) tops, Angel and
I were awe struck at the fine detail and
wonderfully blended colors of these affordable
designer tops (Just $40.00). Lita, in a bold move, showed the fashion
junkies in the auditorium that she is not
all satin and lace by unvieling her Heavy Metal line. Using a new high tech light fabric developed
in Lita's top secret Asian labs, Lita has
broken new ground by offering the Moove lady
a shimmery metal look in a original fabric
that feels like the finest silk. The intermission lasted longer than we had
anticipated, and we were due at Matti's pre-show
shindig that evening, which was a three hour
flight away - but we really wanted to see
the new line of cargo pants which had been
rumoured to be unveiled at the show. While Angel and Mela went to the lobby to
order flowers for our dear friend Craftie
Lady who was in the hospital, I snuck backstage to see Lita and
to catch a glimpse of those elusive cargo
pants I kept hearing about. Between calling
out orders, changing models and adjusting
a strap here and a shoe change there, Lita
promised me the cargo pants would hit the
runway within the next 15 minutes. I settled back in my seat just as the Bangles
ended thier intermission show and had one
last glass of champagne and two more prawns.
They were just too yummy to pass up. The second half of the show started with
a high powered Salsa beat and Lita's gorgeous
Bandida line of light suede corsets. In a wide collection
of colors that are simply purrrfect for Spring,
I predict that the Bandida line will sweep
Moove and the Country like nothing the Fashion
world has seen since Angel's Boutique opened
this past Winter. The crowd obviously thought
this was the case as each and every Bandida
was greeted with a standing ovation. Just as Lita has promised, the long awaited
Cargo Pant line and the Retro Line were next
and frankly, we were not dissapointed. Simple
and delightfully cut in the finest medium
weight cotton fabric, with enough pockets
to let you leave your handbag at home, Lita
is giving Old Navy and the Gap a run for
their money. In several wonderful colors
and priced at an amazing $200.00 per pair,
these cargo pants are a must-have in every
Moove ladies closet. We were just leaving when our pilot called
to tell us he was ready to go, so we hopped
in the Lita supplied Limo and sped off to
the airport as the Ohio sun set in the West.
Safely buckled in, we said goodbye to Ohio
and headed off to see what Matti had in store
for us.
