Tips for Newbies Only by asking can you fully enjoy all Moove
has to offer
Inspired by *Giggsy*
Just the other night I was over at Auntie
Sexy's Dallas Dance Club and a newbie came
in, said Hi and proceeded to ask that we engage
in an act that I will not repeat here. UHM...HELLOOOOOO,
Im a green box, duh. DISMISSED.
We have all seen it at one time or another,
a newbie walks in (hopefully dressed) and
begins to either ask questions by interupting
a conversation or thinks that all the Clubs
are "get frisky" Clubs. Just like
in real, there are manners and proper behavior
for newbies as well as long time locals.
A good rule of thumb is "if you would
not act that way in real, it's not appropiate
for Moove.
If you are still unsure on how to behave,
there are several wonderful folks in Moove
who can guide you and will openly offer advice.
One of the best at this is long time Moove
local *Giggsy*.
Every time I stop by *Giggsy's* for a little
girl talk, it is packed full of newbies in their insurance
salesman suits and discount flowered blouses
from Dollar General - with questions like,
"why is everything green and black boxes"
and "how come I can't see you".
One of the first thing newbies need to understand
is that there are a few simple rules you
should follow to insure you are a welcome
resident of Moove and that you will make
friends that will be with you as you move
from newbie to Gold.
I researched this article by getting tiny
as I do sometimes and sitting in the Tiny
Tory chair at *Giggsy's* and listening as
she dispenses advice and answers question
in her trademark polite way.
I have gathered this advice and placed them
in the 10 top tips for newbies. They are
not listed in any order of importance.
1. Do not show up naked. You will be booted
and possibly banned from the Club, unless
it is a naked club.
2. If a House Page pops up, spend the time
to read it and if it requests you download
room files, please do it. It will help you
avoid asking, "why can't I see anything".
3. Upon entering a room or Club, move out
of the landing spot and if you do "step"
on someone, apologize and move to another
part of the room.
4. Once you get your bearings in a room, look
for the owner and greet them by using the
right click and either meet or greet link.
Just as in real, you would never enter a
home and not greet the resident.
5. Do not think that everyone wants to hug
and kiss you. If you try this and do not
look over the nick page of the person you
are trying to hug or kiss, it is more likely
than not you will be refused with a "Cannot
Hug". Repeated attempts at doing this
will probably get you booted.
6. The green and black boxes you see are because
you have not downloaded the avatars or room
furnishings for a particular room. They download
automatically unless the House Page tells
you different. The download time depends on your connection and the connection
of the room owner and each individual in
the room. The longer you stay in a room,
the more you will see.
7. Ask if you need help and be as specific
as possible. "How can I get a room"
is not specific. Try to wait for a break
in the coversation as to not to appear to
interrupt
8. Don't hit and Don't shoot in other peoples houses. Come on, how polite
is that?
9. There are some great tutorials out there
for newbies and CCWhite and SecretWords have
one of the best at Click Here as does Secret Sinz.
10.Visit *Giggsy*, she is toooo patient and
knows alot. Friendly and considerat, *Giggsy*
has very little tolerance for rude newbies
or even rude long time locals. You can gain
alot of knowledge and learn how to fully
enjoy all Moove has to offer by being polite
and asking.
11. Keep an eye out for tiny people. They are
easily squished and are hard to see. Sometimes
squishing a tiny person will result in a
warning and the second squishing, you will
be booted.
