About the Resort Update This Info


With the highest lift served peaks in MIchigan skiers and boarders will enjoy some of the most spectacular views overlooking the Manistee National Forest. With a total of 34 runs and our terrain park now in it's second year, our terrain will satisfy everyone from the beginner, to the intermediate to the advanced. Snowboarders are allowed on all runs.

Caberfae Peaks Ski & Golf Resort opened in 1937. Rich in history, we are the first ski resort in the Midwest. Since that time we have been hosting skiers and boarders of all ages. Our 565-acre resort features 2 of the highest lift served peaks in Michigan. With 34 runs, a terrain park, one of the largest rental buildings and the newest day lodge in Michigan, skiers and boarders will enjoy quick access to our terrain.

Special ski packages in our MacKenzie Hotel will offer guests slopeside accommodations with access to our outdoor heated pool & spa. Our 36 room hotel features renovated rooms with two double beds, satellite TV and private bath. Our hotel dining room offers full service dining and breakfast buffets.

Located in the Manistee National Forest our skiers and boarders enjoy the most breathtaking views any ski resort in Northern Michigan can offer. With views unblemished by development skiers and boarders are greeted by only pure wilderness at the top of the peaks.

Lessons & Instruction


Our seasoned instructors at Caberfae Peaks offers a variety of lessons from beginner group, semi-private or advanced. Regular sessions last one hour in length or can be purchased as individually guided lessons for several hours.

Snowboarding


The Cammy Potter Terrain Park features multiple rails, tabletops, a fun box and other exciting and challenging features for our boarders and free style skiers.

Recent Improvements


We have undergone an extensive renovation of our MacKenzie Hotel. With 20 newly renovated rooms in this slopeside lodge renovations include new paint, carpet, furniture, bedspreads, drapes, TV's, etc. We have also renovated our hotel dining room which will now offer our hotel guests, skiers and boarders and the general public, full service dining on weekends. We have also increased our snowboard equipment by over 50%, our ski inventory by over 20%, and enhanced our snowmaking equipment to get our terrain park open earlier in the season.

Dining


On site Caberfae Peaks offers dining in our Red Room, R' Dub's Pub, our cafeteria and weekend dining in our MacKenzie Dining Room. The town of Cadillac is full of restaurants offering mouth watering cuisine.

Nightlife


Located in Cadillac only 12 miles west is a broad range of bars and nightclubs for the skiers evening entertainment.

We have lodging specials at our slopeside hotel the MacKenzie Lodge. This 36 room hotel offers guests the convenience of on-site lodging, skiing and meals. For a broader range of accommodations, Cadillac, located only 12 miles west is full of private and franchise hotels, motels and resorts. We have ski packages with each of these establishments.
