About the Resort Update This Info
This ski area first opened in 1963, before
Purgatory and Telluride Ski Resorts, using
a homemade T-Bar lift constructed from old
mining equipment. The old Bingle Town, as
it was called back then, was replaced in
1998 after a 24 year hiatus. The Colorado
Passenger Tramway Board - certified handle
tow now travels approximately 1,000 feet
to access 35 acres of good old fashion fun.
With approximately 200 inches of snowfall
per year, Silverton and the San Juan Mountains
make a perfect setting for any winter activity.
